Village Ventures

Steve joined Village Ventures in June of 2000 and is Chief Operating Officer and General Partner. As the senior administrative partner of the firm, he is responsible for all the financial and administrative systems for the company and its clients. He oversees finance, IT, HR and marketing & communications at the company. Prior to joining Village Ventures, Steve was President of First Massachusetts Bank (Now Banknorth Massachusetts). He began his banking career with Fleet Corporation and has held several executive positions with BankBoston and Key Bank. Steve has significant experience with small and medium sized companies having evaluated more than 2000 businesses and provided more than $500MM in financings. Currently, Steve serves on the board of the Massachusetts Business Development Corporation and LeverPoint Management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire in 1973.
